Gardenia Bakeries was among the foreign investors who responded to President Fidel V. Ramos’ invitation to establish business operations in the Philippines in support of Philippines 2000. The company undertook the production of a specific variety of high-quality bread, which would soon be made accessible to the Philippine market. The establishment of the bakery was anticipated to commence in the middle of 1997. The Gardenia Philippines Bakery Project was situated within the Laguna International Industrial Park (LIIP) in Bo. Mamplasan, Biñan, Laguna, falling under Region IV.
